April Fools Joke?
Kylie just received a frantic call a moment ago from one of our dedicated staff members. Frantic in that she heard a rumour we were closing down on Monday and were starting a 35% off sale! Fair enuff to be frantic. Apparently a fax was being distributed with this information on it.
Pretty funny stuff!! No we are not closing down and also, no we are not having a 35% off sale. We will of course be...
tonnes of new fabric
The shop is quite literally overflowing with new fabric. Plenty of orders from the previous trade shows are starting to hit the shop and Kylie and the girls have been flat out getting them on the shelves.
I have been trying to nab Kylie so that we can finish off the schedule of events for next term and will get these emailed/mailed to you all as soon as they are finalised.

FREE batting for Bushfire Quilts
Ok folks, we have just received 34 metres of batting form the generous souls at Victorian Textiles. This is to be distributed to anybody currently making a quilt to aid the Victorian Bushfire victims.
Please be aware that this will be distributed on a first in first served basis. You must come to the store to collect the batting - 77 Church Street, Hawthorn, Victoria 3122.

a big thankyou
just wanted to pass on a big thank you to everyone who has responded to our call to our arms today. the response has been overwhelming and once i get a chance to corral kylie for a minute we will start to look at possible contributions that we can make collectively to the bushfire victims.

I am delighted to advise that we have just received word from Susan Campbell that they are well and are experiencing cooler weather at the moment. The fires appear to have eased somewhat although they are still very much aware of how quickly these things can change.
Susan was most appreciative of all your well wishes and we just hope that things continue to ease and they can get back to business...
